About Us

Safe Place for Animals is dedicated to helping pets/companion animals (dogs/puppies and cats/kittens) in our community in need. We take in, care for, provide veterinary services and medical care, spay/neuter and find new loving, responsible homes for homeless, abandoned and unwanted pets.

We opened our first shelter location in 2008 and have been open to the public every day since, 365 days a year (yes, even holidays!) We have a great team, including mostly volunteers, that care for all the animals in our facility. We rely on donations from compassionate and caring citizens in the community who want to help make a difference in the lives of animals in need. We do not receive any government financial assistance.
