Hi SPA....just wanted to include our story in your Happy Endings. I found T-Bone back in July....it was a mutual immediate connection. I was visiting TN from Michigan and had NO plans to take a dog home with me! My sister-in-law, Val Stverak, helps out at the shelter and took me for a visit. Ten minutes later....we were taking T-Bone for a walk. Our trip home (12 hours in the car) was perfect...he settled right in and loved the cats, dogs, people. The only issue we had was that he would not be contained in a cage or a room with a closed door. He escaped through a window the first day that I had to leave him alone, got out through a hole in the fence. The neighbors brought him home. A couple days later, he scaled my 6 foot fence! I guess he thought he was being left again! Things are better now (he's been micro-chipped just in case!) .....and the best part....for being part Beagle, he has only barked about 4 times in 6 months!! He adapted to deep snow right away....loves his daily walks. Rain, snow, sleet, heat....we walk! He is so well behaved and lovable, great temperment....we have enrolled in Pals With Paws for therapy dog training and he passed his entrance evaluation with flying colors.
